Pat Benatar Tribute Canceled Due To Heat, Storms

In Bensalem, there is a forecast high temperature of 95 degrees on Wednesday, with a 70% of thunderstorms through the evening.

BENSALEM, PA — A summertime heat wave and thunderstorms are hitting Bensalem with their best shot, causing a Pat Benatar tribute concert scheduled for Wednesday evening to be postponed.

The tribute act Invincible was set to perform at Penn Community Bank Amphitheater as part of its summer concert series. Instead, the group is now scheduled to play on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

"In the interest of safety for our supporters, staff, volunteers and tonight's artist — due to the excessive heat warning and pending storms, we will be postponing the Invincible concert until Wednesday, September 4," read a post from the amphitheater.

Season passes will be honored at the September concert.

Wednesday's forecast for Bensalem from the National Weather Service called for a high temperature of 95 degrees, with a heat index of up to 103. A chance of thundershowers is forecast starting around 3 p.m., with the chance rising to 70% by Wednesday evening.
