The city of Philadelphia will honor the Taney Dragons Wednesday with a parade fit for the heroes they have become.
The 2014 Mid-Atlantic Little League Champions, who finished the season as the third-best Little League team in the country, will be feted with a variety of events beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.

The parade starts at the corner of 20th and Market streets, will go east on Market, around City Hall and south on Broad Street to FDR Park.
The parade will stop twice -- at the Kimmel Center, on Broad and Spruce streets, where the Philly POPS! will play; and at Broad Street and Washington Avenue, where the Mummers will perform.

The parade will end at FDR Park, on Broad and Pattison streets, with a celebratory rally.
In addition to the Dragons and their families, Mayor Michael Nutter and other city officials are expected to be in attendance.
The POPS! will play around 2:30 p.m., the city said; the Mummers will perform around 3 p.m., and the FDR Park rally should start around 4 p.m.
