$1,000 Reward Offered for Help Catching an Arsonist

The Bensalem Fire Rescue Investigation Unit and Bensalem Police want your help with an arson investigation.

A truck was set on fire April 4 in the 1100 block of Mildred Ave., Bensalem and police and fire investigators want help finding the suspect.

On April 4 at 4:15 a.m., the Cornwells Fire Company responded to the vehicle fire where a pick up truck was a totally lost, and officials determined that is was deliberately set, according a police.   

Attached is video surveillance footage of a suspect vehicle arriving and leaving the area of Rita’s Water Ice on Route 13 and Biddle Lane just before the fire.  The vehicle appears to be a late model, dark colored, raised 4-wheel drive Ford F series truck with an extended cab and chrome wheels or hub caps.

The truck also has factory installed cab lights and side marker lights in the exterior mirrors that are mounted on the front doors. 

In a press release issued today, police and fire investigators are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this arson.
