Quaker Steak & Lube Opens In Bensalem
The restaurant chain's first Philadelphia-area location is currently doing takeout since opening its doors on Monday.

BENSALEM,PA — Quaker Steak & Lube, the car-loving dining chain founded in Pennsylvania in 1974, has opened its first location in the Philadelphia area.
The full-service restaurant, known for its hot wings and steaks, opened Monday in Bensalem, at 2900 Street Rd. It's a franchise owned and operated by local businessman John Tripodi.
"Our company got its start in Pennsylvania and expanding our presence to the Philadelphia area is particularly meaningful," said Bruce Lane, vice president of Quaker Steak & Lube. "We look forward to introducing those in the eastern portion of the state to our award-winning options and providing an entertainment venue and new gathering place for the local community."

The new location is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily for carry-out and third-party delivery. The restaurant "is closely monitoring Pennsylvania state guidelines ... and will open the dining room to patrons when state law permits," owners said in a news release.
The Bensalem location is in a 10,000-square-foot, standalone building that seats more than 200, with an outdoor patio with room for another 40 guests. It will feature Quaker Steak & Lube's distinctive motor-themed decor and is serving wings, burgers and sandwiches, along with beer, wine and cocktails.

Once fully open, entertainment will include local musicians, karaoke and a full schedule of events including Bike Night and Car Cruise-Ins.

Founded in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Quaker Steak & Lube now has 42 locations in 12 states.
