See Bensalem Students' Teen Driver Safety Video

Students from Bensalem High School have produced a video on teen driver safety. The video was entered into the Teen Driver Video PSA Challenge organized by TMA Bucks.

The winning school for this year's competition was William Tennent High School in Warminster. Tennent, which was voted the winner for the second straight school year, also won the contest in 2015. The winning video was put together by students Mina Abdulkareem and Maryna Nazaruk from Dina McCaffery’s media production class. The students are both seniors.

“Our main inspiration was the thought of losing each other to something that could be so easily prevented,” said Nazaruk. “We hope to bring awareness to the issue of distracted driving and make a difference.”

William Tennent High School’s media production department will receive a $500 cash grant and their video will play on Comcast.

“Year after year we continue to be amazed by the creativity these students are implementing to deliver such important and positive messages to their peers about teen driver safety,” said TMA Bucks acting executive director Steve Noll. “This was a very challenging year weather wise and to see 10 schools submit videos, matching the most ever, proves how dedicated our students in Bucks County are in wanting to make a difference."
