Senior Cat, Scout, Needs A Forever Home
His name is Scout and he's 14 1/2 years old. He's available for adoption now at Women's Animal Center in Bensalem.

BENSALEM, PA — Scout has been at the Women's Animal Center in Bensalem since May and he'd sure like a forever home.
At about 14 1/2 years old, shelter staff say Scout is one of their most senior kittens. He came to the shelter after his owner died. Staffers say they don't know much about Scout's life before he came to the Bensalem shelter, but they think it's safe to say he misses it.
When Scout first got to the shelter this spring, he was mellow and friendly. But he's gotten more withdrawn over the past few months and now spends most of his days tucked away inside his cardboard den — where passers-by barely notice him.

'While it takes a lot to draw Scout out of his den, he will accept pets on his handsome head and eagerly devour treats out of the palm of your hand when offered," folks at the shelter say. "He is a big boy with soulful eyes who longs to feel safe and secure again in the comforts of a loving home."
Details on the Women's Animal Center adoption process are available on the group's website. The adoption fee for cats nine months and older is $55.
