Services Set For Victim Of Fatal Bensalem Fire

J​ulia Pachucki, 92, a lifelong resident of Bensalem, died in Tuesday's fire.

Services have been set for the woman killed Tuesday in a fire at a home on Byberry Road.

Julia Pachucki, 92, died in the early-morning blaze. She was a lifelong Bensalem resident, according to her obituary. Services are scheduled for Monday.

Julia Pachucki, a life-long resident of Bensalem, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2017. Born in Bensalem, Julia was the daughter of the late Stanley and Magdalena (Mis) Rogala. She was raised and educated in Bensalem. Julia married Edward Pachucki in 1949 and raised their three children after Edward passed. Julia was employed at Philco. Later in her career, she retired as the manager of Fannie May Candies.Julia was a founding member of St Charles, St. Ephrem and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parishes.

A devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and known to many as “Babcia” and “Ciocia Jul”, Julia enjoyed crocheting, gardening, caring for her pets and dancing the Polka. She took great pride in her Polish heritage by passing on traditions to her family, such as preparing pierogi and chrusciki.

Julia has a great sense of humor and her family and friends loved her laugh. Julia was preceded by her husband of 17 years, Edward, her sister, Mary Tasey, brothers Stanley Rogala, Stephen Rogala, John Rogala, Alexander Rogala, and grandson Paul DiPaolo.

She is survived by her children Julianna Moseley (Robert), Edward Pachucki, Jr. and Kathleen DiPaolo (Gregory); 9 grandchildren and loving great grandchildren; sisters Helen Wright, Josephine Otremski, Frances Janus and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Monday from 9:30 to 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1200 Park Ave., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery.

Julia’s family would like to express gratitude to all first responders and staff at Aria Jefferson Health Hospital and Temple University Burn Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021 or to your local volunteer fire department.
