BENSALEM, PA — This is Tana's second stay at the Women's Animal Center in Bensalem.

A 4-year-old pit bull mix, Tana first came to the shelter in 2018, when she spent about six months there before her owners came back for her. Unfortunately, she was brought back to the shelter a few months ago and staffers there are hoping this will be a shorter stay.

They say Tana is a bit shy, especially with men, but once she opens up she's sweet and incredibly playful. She loves to run around the yard and chase tennis balls and will do anything for a treat, shelter staff says.

They say she did great with another dog at the center, so can likely live with another dog.

"Tana is a sweet girl," the shelter told Patch. "She just needs the right person to take a chance on her."
