The Women's Animal Center says that, while fall is typically a down period for new intakes at animal shelters, that hasn't been the case this year. They say the shelter has remained near capacity since the spring.
Saturday's event is designed to free up space at the shelter by finding homes for as many animals as possible before the holidays.
