2 Men Facing Multiple Charges For Stealing Raptor In Plumstead
Police used license plate readers and surveillance technology to track down the men from Brooklyn, New York.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA ? Two men are facing multiple felonies after stealing a truck from the Fred Beans Ford dealership in July.
Kafele Holder, 32, and Brandon Beard, 32, both of Brooklyn, New York, are in Bucks County Prison awaiting pre-trial conferences scheduled for December and January. Holder is being held on $75,000 (10 percent) bail, while Beard is being held on $500,000 unsecured bail.
The two men are accused of stealing a 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor high-performance truck from the dealership, after the business had closed for the night on July 1.

With the assistance of License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology, police said it was discovered that the Raptor, which was displaying a stolen license plate, was captured by a camera as it traversed the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge into New Jersey. Also captured was a white Hyundai Palisade displaying New Jersey registration that was traveling a few seconds behind the Raptor.
With the assistance of additional camera and surveillance technology, detectives were able to determine that the white Palisade was also involved with the theft.

Several days later, police said a commercial LPR in Virginia captured the stolen registration displayed on the Raptor as it was driving on I-95. The Raptor, which was en-route to Houston, Texas, was recovered in Georgia and returned to Fred Beans Ford.
Detectives were able to identify two of the three suspects involved in the theft and subsequently issued arrest warrants for Holder and Beard.
On July 10, Beard was arraigned by Judge Gambardella, who set bail at $500,000 unsecured. His preliminary hearing was held on August 25, and all charges were held over to court.
On Sept. 24, Holder was arraigned and bail was set at $75,000, 10 percent. He was committed to Bucks County Prison. On Oct. 27, Holder had his preliminary hearing and waived on all charges.
Pre-trial conferences are scheduled for Beard and Holder in December and January.
Beard and Holder are charged with four third-degree felonies for unlawful taking (movable property), conspiracy to commit theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to receive stolen property.
