DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA ? Doylestown Township Police handled 920 calls for service during October. There were 53 traffic accidents investigated. Police issued 64 traffic citations and 141 traffic warnings.
Assault
- A 34-year-old woman was arrested Oct. 9 and charged with assaulting staff at Doylestown Hospital. She was arraigned and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility on cash bail.
- Police responded to a traffic accident and reported physical assault Oct. 17 on Pebble Hill Road.

- On Oct. 8, the Furlong Post Office suffered two broken windows when unknown subjects threw golf-sized balls at the building. The same damage occurred to other properties in neighboring jurisdictions that night.
- On Oct. 11, a 17-year-old driver was charged after they purposefully spun their tires on Sugar Bottom Road for an extended period of time leaving a ?burn out? mark on the roadway.
- On Oct. 18, a driver on Swamp Road reported to police that a passenger in a nearby vehicle leaned out and threw an egg at their car.
- On Oct. 25, officers responded to a report of a person spray-painting the overpass on Route 611 Bypass.
Disorderly Conduct
- On Oct. 13, officers spoke to a 40-year-old man openly viewing pornographic videos in a local restaurant. He was asked to leave the property.
- On Oct. 24, officers investigated a neighbor dispute over dog walking near the Stonington Farms Condominiums.
- On Oct. 26, a 64-year-old man was cited for harassment and related traffic offenses following a road-rage investigation.

- On Oct. 26, a 50-year-old man was arrested for DUI after he was involved in a crash on Easton Road near Almshouse Road.
- On Oct. 5, a 19-year-old man was taken into custody for DUI on Turk Road after an officer noticed his vehicle driving quickly through several turns with its four-way hazard lights flashing.
Fraud
- There were 11 reports of fraud during the month. Police ask residents to stay vigilant with suspicious text messages and phone calls. Never click on any unknown links or give out personal information over the phone. If in doubt, hang up and call a trusted family member or the police for help.
Theft
- On Oct. 9, loss prevention staff from Weis Market reported information on a customer who had committed retail theft on 11 separate occasions. A 63-year-old woman has been identified as the suspect.
- On Oct. 13, officers investigated a report of a stolen Halloween decoration from a residence on Hart Ave.
- On Oct. 22, officers responded to the Barnes & Noble store for a retail theft that had occurred earlier. The suspect was identified, and charges were filed against a 22-year-old woman.
