2 Suspects Sought For Credit Card Fraud: Hilltown Twp. Crime Report

Police make arrests for DUI, assault, and numerous thefts, including two firearms, during the month of February.

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA ? The Hilltown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests in :

February 4

  • Police are searching for two men who made fraudulent purchases using a Hilltown resident's stolen Home Depot credit card at the Home Depot store at 781 Route 113 in the Hilltown Plaza Shopping Center. According to police, the suspects purchased Lifeproof Flooring with some tools and gloves. The two transactions totaled $1,777.86. The first suspect, wearing a ball cap, purple sweatshirt and jeans, used his cell phone during the transactions to make the purchase. It appears the victim's Home Depot credit card information was stored on the suspect's cellular device. The second suspect, wearing a black jacket and jeans, assisted with pushing half of the purchase out the door. The suspects loaded the material into a U-Haul van and were last seen driving towards Route 113.   • Police arrested a 37-year-old man for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop on Hilltown Pike.

February 20

  • Police arrested a 47-year-old man for an assault that occurred at a home in the 500 block of Blue School Road.

February 21

  • Police arrested a 32-year-old man for assault following the investigation of a disturbance at a home on Yarrow Court. He is charged with simple assault and harassment.

February 27

  • Police charged a 73-year-old man with theft following the investigation of a lost wallet at the Hilltown Walmart store. It was found through investigation that the Walmart employee discovered the lost wallet and removed money from the wallet before turning it in to customer service. He is charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft of mislaid or lost property and receiving stolen merchandise.
  • Police arrested a 55-year-old woman for retail theft following an investigation of intentional under-ringing at a self-checkout lane at the Walmart on Bethlehem Pike.

February 28

  • Police charged 42-year-old Lewis Riley with the theft of two firearms and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle following the investigation of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from a Cherry Road residence.

March 21

  • Police arrested a 22-year-old man for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol following a traffic stop on Bethlehem Pike.
