QUAKERTOWN, PA — Nearly two dozen small dogs were rescued from "filthy" conditions at the home of a breeder in Bucks County this week, authorities said.

The SPCA described the home as being in an unlivable state for the 22 pups.

The dogs have since been transported to the SPCA shelter in Lahaska for examination and treatment. The plan is to put them up for adoption once they're fully healthy and neutered.
