DOYLESTOWN ARTS FESTIVAL

The 2017 Doylestown Arts Festival will be held this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event, which will be held rain or shine, will feature a selection of 160 juried artists, five stages of live music, interactive demonstrations and more. BLACK AND WHITE DINNER

The Newtown Theatre will hold its second annual Black & White Dinner at 6 p.m. on Sept. 9, on State Street. Guests, dressed only in black and white, will enjoy a picnic under the stars. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed Man and Best Dressed Woman, as well as the Most Elegant Table and Most Creative Table. A free screening of The Artist follows dinner. PENNSBURY MARCHING BAND FUNDRAISER

Ford Motor Company's DRIVE 4 UR SCHOOL program is coming to the Pennsbury community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for the "Long Orange Line" Marching Band. For every person who test drives a new Ford vehicle at the event Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Pennsbury Instrumental Music Boosters. There will also be food trucks at the event, which will be held at Pennsbury High School. Click here for details.

The 14th Annual 9/11 Garden of Reflection 5K will be held this weekend. The event gets underway at 9 a.m. on Sunday at the Garden of Reflection in Lower Makefield. The cost to participate is $30 in advance or $35 the day of the race. Same-day registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. You can run or walk. Click here for details.

THOMPSON BUCKS COUNTY CLASSIC

The Thompson Bucks County Classic will be held Sunday in Doylestown. It includes an international men’s professional 50-mile cycling race, along with a women’s professional race, a recreational ride, an amateur race and children’s races. Racing will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until approximately 3 p.m. Click here for more information.
