Administrative Changes Announced By Central Bucks School District

If approved by the school board, Dr. Helen Sclama Zaleski will oversee the district's elementary education program.

DOYLESTOWN, PA ? The Central Bucks School Board at its April meeting will consider the appointment of Titus Elementary School Principal Dr. Helen Sclama Zaleski to the position of assistant superintendent for elementary education.

According to Superintendent Dr. Steven Yanni, Dr. Zaleski emerged as a finalist for the position following a search and interview process conducted by the district. If appointed, Dr. Zaleski will replace Dr. Nadine Garvin who will be retiring at the end of May following decades of service to the district.

Dr. Zaleski currently serves as the principal at Titus Elementary School. During her time in Central Bucks, she has also worked as a Spanish teacher and as a House Principal at Central Bucks High School West.

"In her new role, Dr. Zaleski will provide leadership and guidance to all 15 of our elementary schools, ensuring that we provide the best possible education for all of our students," said Yanni. "We congratulate Dr. Zaleski on being named the finalist candidate, and I look forward to sharing more about her in the coming weeks."

Following Dr. Zaleski?s appointment, Yanni said the district will begin the process of identifying the next principal at Titus. "The community should rest assured that Dr. Zaleski will finish the school year at Titus; additionally, she will be instrumental in transitioning a new leader for the school community," said Yanni.

The school board will consider Zaleski's appointment, effective July 1, at its April 24 meeting.

"I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank Dr. Garvin for her dedicated years of service to the students, staff, and the Central Bucks community," said the superintendent. "Her impact will be felt for years to come, and we know she will watch from afar as we continue moving CBSD forward in the best interest of our students, staff, and community."
