Bookshop Speakeasy Promises Swinging Good Time In Doylestown
Proceeds from the night of drinks, socializing, shopping, and swinging jazz will benefit the 2026 Doylestown Book Festival.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA ? Book lovers are invited to a swinging good time at the first-ever Bookshop Speakeasy, a fundraiser benefiting the Bucks County Book Festival.
On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the public is invited to join the executive committee of the Bucks County Book Festival for drinks, after-hours shopping, and the company of book-loving locals at the Doylestown Bookshop from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will be complimentary snacks, games, and a jazzy soundtrack provided by DJ Matheson Westlake and Stage United.

Tickets include a complimentary bookish-themed drink designed by Hops/Scotch, and a portion of that night?s bookshop sales will support the festival?s 2026 programming.

?The Doylestown Bookshop is a proud partner of the Bucks County Book Festival, and we are thrilled to host our first-ever Bookshop Speakeasy in support of this series of events," said Krisy Elisii, executive committee member and director of events and marketing for The Doylestown and Lahaska Bookshops. "We are looking forward to bringing more authors to the community in 2026, and support through events like these will help us to do that.?
The swinging night to benefit the Book Festival unfolds on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S Main Street, Doylestown 18901. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased in advance by clicking here.
The Bucks County Book Festival was founded in 2018 with a mission to celebrate literacy, spark imagination, and build community by connecting authors, readers, and book lovers throughout the region. The festival is a Discover Doylestown event and would not be possible without support from community partners, including Stage United, Hops/Scotch, and the Doylestown and Lahaska Bookshops.
