Buckingham Police Respond to Series of Thefts, One Burglary
Incidents took place overnight and early Thursday.

The Buckingham Township Police Department responded to several thefts from vehicles and one attempted burglary call on Thursday.
- The first theft from a vehicle occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Paist Road in Mechanicsville. The victim observed a vehicle pull into the driveway with three occupants. Two of the suspects exited the vehicle while the driver waited. They proceeded to remove $40 from the victim’s vehicle, police said.
- An attempted burglary occurred in the Villages development on East Brighton Street in Furlong, as an unknown suspect or suspects tried to remove a Harley Davidson motorcycle from an unlocked garage. The suspects were not able to move the motorcycle around the victim’s car. Also on East Brighton Street, an IiPod was stolen from a vehicle, police said.
- A theft from a vehicle on East Dorchester Street occurred in the same development, as a 45-caliber pistol, a second ammunition magazine, knife, flashlight, laptop, and men’s bracelet was reported stolen, police said.
Police warn that these type of crimes historically increase with warmer weather. Residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles, homes, and garages, and to remove valuable items from vehicles overnight.
