A Bucks County man has embarked on a mission: To make the Slinky the "State Toy" of Pennsylvania.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A Bucks County man has embarked on a mission: To make the Slinky the "State Toy" of Pennsylvania.

According to multiple reports, including one published in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bob Swaim of Springfield Township wants the toy to receive the statewide designation.

Swaim is a retired math teacher, NBC10 reports. He's on a five-year mission to get the toy designated with the new title.
