Bucks Co. Restaurant Ranked Among Country's Best For Vegetarians

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A restaurant in Bucks County is included in a new ranking of America's best for vegetarians. The ranking, from the online restaurant reviewer OpenTable, includes Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, which has a location in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center in Newtown.

Harvest doesn't serve vegetarian food exclusively, but its menu has a diverse selection of meat-free options.

The list of the top 50 in the country includes seven distinct restaurants in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania area eateries honored by OpenTable include:

• Bar Bombon - Philadelphia
• Charlie was a sinner. - Philadelphia
• P.S. & Co. - Philadelphia
• Terrain Garden Cafe - Glen Mills
• True Food Kitchen - King of Prussia
• Farmer's Table - King of Prussia
• Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar - seven locations in Pennsylvania, including Radnor, North Wales, Newtown, and Glen Mills

"There's no doubt that plant-based dining is a trend as we're seeing increasing interest in vegetarian menu options from our diners," Caroline Potter, chief dining officer at OpenTable, said in a statement. "In honor of World Vegetarian Day, we thought it was a great moment to celebrate this change in dietary habits by spotlighting restaurants that serve up dining experiences guaranteed to satisfy any plant-based diet or omnivore appetite."

Organizers said that the honorees are based on an analysis of more than 12 million reviews from more than 30,000 restaurants around the nation.

"It was an honor and a surprise to win this," added Harvest's owner, Dave Magrogan.

Pennsylvania's 10 winners tied with New York for the second most nationwide. California led all states with 16 restaurants. A total of 20 states had representatives on the list.

The list was released to coincide with World Vegetarian Day on Oct. 1.
