Bucks County Sheriff Election: See 2025 Results

Voters sent in ballots and went to the polls on Tuesday to elect a sheriff.

DOYLESTOWN, PA ? Bucks County voters have elected a new sheriff.

With 306 out of 306 precincts reporting, Democrat Danny Leo Ceisler led the race over incumbent Republican Fred Harran with Ceisler polling 55 percent to Harran's 44 percent.

As of 1 a.m. on Wednesday, 100 percent of Bucks County's precincts had reported their vote tallies.

Results are unofficial until they are certified by the Bucks County Board of Elections.

Danny Ceisler is a public safety leader who has served the community and nation in combat zones, courtrooms, and capitols. Ceisler served on the Special Operations Counter-Terorism Task Force in Afghanistan, is a veteran of three Crisis Management Teams at the Pentagon, and served as a senior public safety official in Governor Shapiro?s administration. Ceisler currently co-owns a brewery and pub, volunteers with the Bristol?s Third District Volunteer Fire Company, and resides in Bristol Borough with his wife Helen.

Sheriff Fred Harran (Bristol Borough) has spent nearly four decades serving Bucks County as a law enforcement officer. Starting as a police officer in Bensalem, he rose to the rank of Director of Public Safety in Bensalem, a position he held for 16 years before being elected Bucks County Sheriff in 2021. Sheriff Harran says he has developed critical insight into 21st century policing and a unique ability to bring people together.
