Car Stolen, Man Arrested In Grocery Store Assault In Doylestown Twp.
Doylestown Township Police reported the following incidents and arrests during January.
DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA ? The Doylestown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during the month of January:
Assault
- On January 3, 0fficers responded to an assault at the Weis Market. A 32-year-old man was taken into custody.

- On January 13, officers investigated vehicle theft from Sloane Porsche. A 2023 Chevrolet Camaro ZL71 was stolen from the lot valued at $71,000. The theft is under investigation.
Theft
- On January 16, officers investigated a theft at Thompson BMW. Stolen credit cards were used to pay for services for a total loss of $5,000. The case is under investigation.
Fraud

- There were eight reports of fraud reported to police during the month. The community is reminded to make sure they are communicating with a legitimate company before offering personal identification or financial information. No company will require payment via store gift cards and rarely cryptocurrency. Families and friends are encouraged to educate their elderly family members about fraud because they are at a higher risk of becoming a victim.
Criminal Mischief
- On January 3, eggs were thrown at a house in the 300 block of Birdsong Way.
Driving Under the Influence
- On January 17, a 46-year-old woman was taken into custody for DUI after a vehicle accident at Swamp and Pine Run roads.
- On January 19, a 27-year-old man was taken into custody for DUI after a vehicle accident at the Weis Market.
- On January 25, a 32-year-old female was taken into custody for DUI on Swamp Road at Route 611.
Fire Response
- On January 10, officers along with Doylestown, Warwick and Lingohocken fire companies responded to Cherry Lane for a garage fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Doylestown Township Fire Marshal.
- On January 18, officers along with the Doylestown Fire Company responded to the 1000 block of Easton Road for a vehicle fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Doylestown Township Fire Marshal.
- On January 20, officers along with Doylestown and Warrington Fire Companies responded to the 100 block of Steeplechase Drive for a garage fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Doylestown Township Fire Marshal.
Doylestown Township Police handled 724 calls for service during the month of January. There were 50 traffic accidents and 47 traffic citations and 106 traffic warnings issued.
