?Central Bucks Bands Unite To Benefit Sikora Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship provides $1,000 to a college-bound senior from CB East, CB South or CB West who exemplifies Corinne?s spirit and passion.

DOYLESTOWN, PA ? Student musicians and bands from throughout the Central Bucks School District will come together on Thursday, April 3 for "United in Music," a special concert to benefit the Corinne Sikora Memorial Scholarship, at the Central Bucks West auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m.

A long-time Holicong Middle School teacher who also worked in the district?s student services and staff development departments, Corinne passed away from a brain tumor in November 2020 at just 49. The scholarship in her name provides $1,000 to a college-bound senior from CB East, CB South or CB West who exemplifies Corinne?s spirit and passion for promoting education and helping people in a variety of ways.

"United in Music will celebrate all the wonderful bands the district has to offer for a great cause," said event organizer Frankie Sikora, Corinne's son and a junior at Central Bucks West. "We want to promote young artists and bring people together through music."

During her 23-year career at CB, Corinne served students as a special education teacher at Holicong, special education program specialist, staff developer, and supervisor of student services. Those who knew Corinne appreciated her brilliant mind and loving heart that allowed her to connect with hundreds of teachers in all CB schools.
