?Central Bucks Calls Special Board Meeting To Hire Outside Counsel
The board announced in January that it planned to engage an outside independent agency to conduct a review of child abuse allegations.

DOYLESTOWN, PA ? The Central Bucks School Board is calling a special meeting for Thursday, Feb. 6 to consider hiring outside counsel to provide legal services regarding allegations of physical child abuse at Jamison Elementary School.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. or immediately following the conclusion of the Education Committee Meeting at the district?s Educational Services Building located at 16 Welden Drive.
The board announced in January that it planned to engage an outside independent agency to conduct a third-party review of the allegations.

The review will include a re-examination of the investigation to ensure all aspects of the matter were thoroughly and properly addressed; a review of the procedures and processes followed by all departments involved in the initial investigation to ensure best practices; and the implementation of a safety plan in the classroom in question. The plan will include the assignment of a second teacher to act as an observer, pending the outcome of the investigations.
"Board leadership has been in direct contact with the family involved, expressing our deepest care and concern during this difficult time," the board said in an earlier statement. "Our focus remains on ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in our district and understanding the full scope of what has transpired."

According to the board, the process will take time to complete.
