Central Bucks East is among the top-rated public high schools in Philadelphia and its suburbs, according to a new ranking.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Central Bucks East is among the top-rated public high schools in Philadelphia and its suburbs, according to a new ranking released this week by Philadelphia Magazine.
The magazine used data from the Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of education and the National Center for Education Statistics to compile the 40 Top-Rated Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs.
Factors such as enrollment, student-teacher ratio, SAT scores, and students who go on to attend college were considered. You can read Philadelphia Magazine's full methodology used when drafting the list here.

According to the magazine's summary, Central Bucks East's student enrollment is 1,517. The graduation percentage is 98 percent, and of those, 94 percent go on to college. The schools' student-teacher ratio is 16:1. The average SAT scores are 609/602 (verbal/math).
Three Bucks County schools were on Philly Mag's list. Council Rock North also made the ranking, as well as New Hope-Solebury.
