Central Bucks School Board Candidates Participate in Forum

Candidates asked about various issues, including social media, hazing and sex education

Candidates running for the five open seats on the Central Bucks School District participated in a forum Thursday night at Wesley Enhanced Living in Doylestown, according to The Intelligencer.

The report states that Region 1 candidate Karen Smith, Region 3 candidates Wayne Marquez, Phillis Melendez and Glen Schloeffel, Region 6 candidate and incumbent Tyler Tomlinson, and Region 8 candidates Beth Darcy and Tyler Tomlinson took part in the forum.

According to the report roughly 75 people attended the event, including Kutz Elementary School Principal Jeanann Kahley, who has been on leave since February while complaints about her are being investigated.

The candidates were asked their opinions on various issues concerning middle school students, including technology education, social media, hazing, and sex education, according to the report.
