Central Bucks School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Central Bucks is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Central Bucks School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/1: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/5: First Day of School
• 9/21 - 9/22: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

November

• 11/9: End of First Marking Period
• 11/10: Early Dismissal for K-12 Students (MS Conferences)
• 11/21: Early Dismissal for K-12 Students (Professional Development)
• 11/22: No School for Students (Professional Development)
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/4 - 12/15: Keystone Testing, Algebra I, Biology, Literature
• 12/5: End of First Trimester
• 12/7 - 12/8: No School for Kindergarten Students (Parent Conferences); Grades 1-6 Early Dismissal (Elementary Conferences)
• 12/11: No School for Kindergarten Students (Parent Conferences)
• 12/22: Early Dismissal K-12
• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/2: School Resumes
• 1/8 - 1/22: Keystone Testing, Algebra 1, Biology, Literature
• 1/26: Grades 7-12 Early Dismissal; End of Second Marking Period

February
