Central Bucks Schools Closed Thursday For Winter Storm

Central Bucks schools will close Thursday in anticipation of inclement weather.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — All Central Bucks School District schools will run on a 100 percent virtual schedule on Thursday due to inclement weather.

Elementary school assignments, including CB Virtual Academy, will be posted by 10 a.m. and secondary school assignments will be posted by 9 a.m.

Grab and Go meal pickups at Central Bucks high schools have been postponed to Friday.

A winter storm warning takes effect at 4 a.m. Thursday and will last through 10 a.m. Friday. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected for the Doylestown area, with the heaviest snow expected early Thursday morning and changing to sleet and freezing rain by late afternoon. Some light wintry precipitation could continue into Friday.

Meanwhile, Doylestown Borough has declared a snow emergency that will take effect at midnight and will continue for the duration of the storm until snow emergency routes have been cleared, borough officials said.
