Children's Village Takes Over Children of America Site
One week after a tornado caused damage at The Children's Village, it has reopened at the former Children's Village daycare.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A week after an EF2 tornado caused extensive damage throughout the Doylestown Hospital campus, the onsite Children’s Village has reopened in a new location.
The Children's Village reopened Tuesday at a new site just north of the hospital campus on Ferry Road, the hospital announced.
Children’s Village is now leasing a building that was formerly Children of America, which closed in late July.

"Doylestown Health is extremely thankful that the storm resulted in only a few minor injuries, although there was significant damage to the flagship campus and buildings," the hospital said in a statement.
The EF2 tornado originated near the Philadelphia Mills Mall in Northeast Philadelphia before ending at 115 mph in Doylestown, where it caused serious damage to the Doylestown Hospital campus.

Inpatient services were not disrupted during the storm, and all outpatient services were reopened shortly after.
The hospital also thanked the community for "generous donations of books, supplies and other materials" for Children’s Village. Residents of Pine Run Retirement Community even handmade teddy bears
Children’s Village is now well supplied with toys, crafts, books, office materials, and numerous other requested items "thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the community," the hospital said.
Children’s Village, which opened 35 years ago on the Doylestown Hospital campus, is a nationally accredited early childhood education center serving families of Doylestown Health employees and community members.
