?We are sincerely grateful to all of our retail and corporate customers,? said owner Christopher Kuttler, whose grandparents emigrated from Germany and started the bakery in the 1940s. ?We will have fun commemorating this anniversary milestone and look forward to continuing to serve the Bucks County community.?
In 1944, Adolf and Elise Kuttler, who emigrated from Germany, opened Maryanne Pastry Shoppe at the corner of Chelten and Boyer Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The store, which thrived with the help of several family members, closed when the couple retired in 1967.
