Doylestown Borough has announced upcoming collection dates as part of its annual fall leaf collection program.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Borough has announced upcoming collection dates as part of its annual fall leaf collection program.
In response to weather trends and requests from residents, the borough is pushing back the date of its first collection back one week from its traditional start to allow time for more leaves to fall.
Here are some basic rules to remember:

- Only put out leaves for collection. Sticks, bricks and bulky debris can cause damage to equipment and put municipal workers at risk
- Pile leaves atop the curb in your yard. Place leaves on the grass at the curb edge, but not in the street and gutter, where wet leaves can block water flow and cause drainage issues
- Leaves must be placed out for pickup by 7 a.m. Monday of your scheduled collection weeks. If you miss your weeks, you can drop off your bagged leaves at the borough's 300 Harvey Avenue facility
