DOYLESTOWN, PA — Public works crews in Doylestown Borough are taking a breather after 55 straight hours of laying down road salt and plowing snow-covered roads.
Their respite may be short-lived as forecasters eye a potential storm system this weekend that could rival the winter blast that we're still digging our way out of.
Besides a few scattered flurries Wednesday afternoon, the first major winter storm of the season appears to have passed.

Buckingham Township and the Chalfont area recorded 11.8 inches of snow, while a northern portion of Bucks County recorded as much as 31 inches.

Doylestown Borough lifted its storm emergency Wednesday afternoon, but parking restrictions remain in effect for several snow emergency routes along Court Street, Pine Street, Broad Street and Oakland Avenue. Snow removal will resume at 4 a.m. Thursday on those streets.
There is no parking meter enforcement on Wednesday.

Chalfont Borough residents and business owners are being asked to clear any remaining snow and ice from sidewalks.
