Doylestown At Dusk Car Show Returns This Summer
Classic cars, trucks and motorcycles will once again cruise through Doylestown Borough this summer.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Organizers of the annual Doylestown at Dusk Car Show say the event will return to the borough this summer.
Last year's car show was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It opened with a tribute to Bruce Rutherford, a prominent community figure in Doylestown who passed away in December. The Doylestown man was the co-owner of Rutherford's Camera Shop, an active volunteer and a classic car enthusiast.
Rick Millham Jr. said "the show must go on" despite Rutherford's passing.

"As if 2020 and a Pandemic were not hard enough, we lost our fearless leader Bruce Rutherford in December," Millham posted on Facebook. "It has been hard on all of us and as we think about the Car Show without Bruce at the helm it is hard to comprehend. Despite that we are pressing forward with the knowledge that it is a great way to honor his legacy. Bruce would want it to go on because of the joy that it brings all of us and the benefit it is to the town, and all the charities who receive grants from the Rotary from the money raised."
While it's unclear how exactly this year's car show will look, Millham said they are planning for full show, a scaled down show and an entirely virtual car show in the event of COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings.
