Doylestown officials await fate of Hammerstein Farm

Doylestown officials are waiting on the fate of the Hammerstein Farm according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

The farm is where famed librettist Oscar Hammerstein II lived and wrote many of his songs. His grandson, Will Hammerstein wants to build a museum and theater on the property. The township zoning board has yet to rule on the proposal.

According to the report, if the proposal is rejected, and property is sold, the fear is that the barn and or farmhouse could be torn down.
