Doylestown Planning 2nd Community Garden

Doylestown Borough is holding a meeting this Wednesday for residents interested in securing a plot at the second community garden.

Doylestown Borough is holding a public meeting this Wednesday, May 2 for residents interested in learning more about a community garden. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall, 57 West Court Street.

This will be the borough's second community garden, and residents interested in acquiring one of the 12 initial plots should attend this meeting. The garden will be located on north Harvey Avenue between Doyle Street and the Borough's Public Works Facility.

"Like its predecessor on South Church Street, the garden will consist of raised 20' by 5' planting beds available to residents who otherwise lack a suitable place to plant and garden. In its startup phase, the garden will consist of twelve such beds, access to public water, and a communal storage shed," the borough said in an announcement via Facebook.
