Fort Washington Resident Helps Start NASDAQ Trading
In honor National Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month, members of The Parkinson Council, including Vito Cosmo of Fort Washington, rang the opening bell for NASDAQ Monday.
Vito Cosmo of Fort Washington and member of The Parkinson Council, helped ring the NASDAQ opening bell in Times Square on Monday morning.
It was also the symbolic start of National Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month, taking place throughout the month of April. The Parkinson Council is a Philadelphia-based organization that supports people with Parkinson’s disease, their families and caregivers.
Cosmo, of Grant Thornton LLP, an accounting and advisory organization, is a member of The Parkinson Council's 2013 Annual Golf Classic Committee.
Throughout the month of April, organizations and individuals across the country will work together to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease – which affects 1.6 million people in the U.S., with more than 50,000 new patients diagnosed each year, according to a NASDAQ press release.
