Fitness Event to Support Local Veterans
Meghan's Foundation sponsoring event on May 9 at the Solebury Club

Meghan’s Foundation is sponsoring a fitness fund-raising event that supports local veterans.
The Warrior Workout of the Day, a team fitness challenge for competitive athletes and active individuals 10 years-old and up, will be held 8 a.m. on May 9 outside of the Solebury Club in Buckingham.
“This event gives us an opportunity to say thank you to our veterans as well as honor local fallen heroes,” said Solebury Club owner Robert DeAngelis said in a press release.

The Meghan’s Foundation was created to increase the awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in war veterans as well as assist in the development of yoga and meditation programs for veterans experiencing PTSD symptoms.
Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is scheduled to be the feature speaker at the event, which will also honor 22 local fallen heroes. As a tribute to servicemen and women each station will be in honor of two local fallen heroes.

The competition features three divisions for various skill levels and ages. The Competitive division is for teams consisting of two men and two women. The Just for Fun Adults division is for teams with no gender restrictions, competing on a modified course. The Youth division is for kids 10-years-old and up with teams of two or four competitors. All kids will receive patriotic dog tags.
Registration is $55 per person and $220 per team. In addition to the competition, there will be a raffle for baskets, which are on display at the club through May 9.
The Solebury Club is located at 4612 Hughesian Drive in Buckingham. Parking for the event will be available at the Buckingham Elementary School next door.
