Flash Flooding In Doylestown As Storm Brings 3 Inches Of Rain
A strong Thursday morning thunderstorm that dumped up to three inches of rain in Doylestown is causing flash flooding issues.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — A strong Thursday morning thunderstorm that dumped up to three inches of rain in Doylestown and Buckingham is causing flash flooding in the area, prompting road closures.
"Multiple roads have been reported as flooded and closed by local emergency management. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen based on radar and gauge estimates," the National Weather Service said in its Flash Flood Warning. "Flash flooding is already occurring and expected to continue."
The Flash Flood Warning remains in place through 1 p.m. Another inch of rain is possible this morning, forecasters say.

Doylestown Township Police report the intersection of Broad Street and Sandy Ridge Road is currently closed due to flooding.
The heavy rains caused the cancelation of the Marston Cup event at the Doylestown Country Club, according to the Golf Association of Philadelphia.
