Fred Beans Makes $10K Donation to Plumstead Twp Police Department
Funding will Support Purchase of New Intelligence Technology to Assist in Crime Solving

The Fred Beans Charitable Trust, the giving arm of Fred Beans Automotive Group, recently donated $10,665 to the Plumstead Township Police Department to help purchase an innovative intelligence solution to assist with solving area crimes. Over a five-year period, Beans will donate a total of $34,645 to fully fund this technology, which will collect, organize and make information derived from license plate data into actionable intelligence readily accessible to officers.
According to Plumstead Township Police Chief David A. Mettin, the technology will aid in the detection and timely apprehension of anyone who commits a criminal act in the area, and support the department in providing professional police services. He emphasized that it will help officers continue to promote the safety and security of all residents and businesses in and around Plumstead Township.
The Fred Beans Charitable Trust was established in 2000 to formalize Fred Beans’ commitment to giving back. Since then, the Trust has prioritized supporting organizations and efforts spanning the categories of youth and education, human services, arts and culture, and community development.
