Free Career Training For Bucks Residents
Bucks County Community College continues training programs to meet the needs of employers.

Bucks County Community College is excited to commence training their Industrial Maintenance and Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Certificate training programs this spring. These training programs provide quick, relevant, and free training that will open up opportunities for a good career and the ability to grow with an employer. Participants attend classes led by industry experts and work with a career coach who assists them with resumes, interviews, and the job placement process.
Bucks County Community College continues to adapt to the changing workplace and has continued to offering training programs during COVID. The Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Certification program is entirely online while the Industrial Maintenance Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program has a hybrid schedule allowing for in-person and online training while maintaining COVID-19 guidelines. Training participants are provided the opportunity and support to succeed in impactful, high demand local careers.

The Industrial Maintenance Pre-Apprenticeship FREE 12- week Training Program introduces participants to the fundamental concepts and hands-on skills required by electro-mechanical technicians in manufacturing and a variety of settings. Electro-mechanical technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits. Classes are Monday – Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm. The next Industrial Maintenance cohort starts May 24, 2021. Interested applicants should attend an online information session on April 15th or April 22nd at 1pm. Commencing on June 14 will be the very popular Bookkeeping with QuickBooks certification training. This training introduces the principles of financial accounting with a focus on bookkeeping and accounting procedures. Bookkeeping skills are required by every business, in every industry. The skills learned in this course can translate into many career paths including financial analyst, accountant, and financial supervisor. Upon completion of the Program, students will have the opportunity to sit for the QuickBooks Pro certification. Attend a virtual information session to find out more: May 13 or 20. Bucks also works with employers that are seeking employees to fill their open positions. This provides a ‘win-win’ for candidates and employers – candidates get a leg-up on job openings and employers can tap into freshly-trained talent with a proven record of attendance and punctuality. In addition to the trainings listed above, Bucks also has a Metalwork pre-apprentice training program and a Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Certificate Program. The training programs are robust and built to meet the in-demand skills needed by employers. Residents who meet eligibility requirements are able to attend the trainings for free. Trainings are sponsored through grant funding via the County of Bucks.
