Grants Awarded To Fire, EMS Companies In Warrington, Warwick

BUCKS COUNTY, PA ? Fire companies and EMS providers in Warrington, Wrightstown and Warwick townships have been awarded grants through the state's Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program.
The funding was secured by State Senator Frank Farry, who represents the sixth senatorial district including Warwick, Warrington and Wrightstown.
?Through legislation, I was instrumental in reauthorizing this grant program, as well as expanding it to better meet the needs of our local volunteer and career fire companies,? said Farry. ?This state funding is much needed for both our volunteer and paid first responders and the communities they protect.?

The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program is an annual grant program available for volunteer and career fire companies, emergency medical services and rescue squads and is administered by the Office of State Fire Commissioner.

- Central Bucks Ambulance & Rescue Unit - $15,000
- Warrington Community Ambulance Corps - $15,000
- Warwick Township Fire Co. Number 1 - $14,816
- Hartsville Fire Co No 1 - $16,322
- Warrington Township Fire Co. No.1 - $16,107
- Warrington Twp Dept of Emergency Services - $12,879
- Lingohocken Fire Co. - $15,461
The funding can be used for the construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, the purchase or repair of equipment, training or the reduction of existing debt.
