When they all of the sudden leave your side. Chances are they have to go!

2. If its winkin, its stinkin.

There are times where you look at your pup and their little butt is puckering. That's an obvious sign it's time to get them out.

3. Rapid sniff circles.

When a puppy starts rapidly sniffing the ground in a circle or search like pattern they are likely going to relieve themselves.

4. Tail held high with nose down low.

This behavior has a high probability of being a predictor to poo.

5. Whining.

When puppies start to understand that they are only to eliminate outside they will often start whining when they need to go. It's good practice to say "potty?" and take them out immediately. If anything they learn communication gets then access to the out doors.

Bonus!

Watch your puppy when they do actually go to the bathroom. Record the event from the time they step outside to the time they actually go. Having this video to reference will show you exactly what they look like when they need to go.
