Investigators To Reconstruct Crash That Killed 3 Bucks Co. Teens
Officers will be attempting to collect internal data to determine speed and other factors that led to the crash on Bristol Road.
WARRINGTON, PA ? Investigators this week will begin reconstructing the crash that killed three teens and left one hospitalized on Bristol Road Friday night.
Warrington Township Police Chief Daniel Friel said police from his department and the Bucks County Accident Reconstruction Team will begin the process of determining how the crash happened, including everything from the speed the vehicles were traveling to who was wearing a seatbelt.
"When they look at the vehicles, they will be attempting to collect internal data to determine speed and other factors," said the chief. "They'll also be looking at videos and cameras from the area, talking to witnesses, and looking at the physical evidence, including roadway markings, gouges and road conditions.

"Using drones and laser technology, we will be basically recreating the whole accident scene from start to finish," said the chief.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of Bristol Road when a Toyota Camry and a Ford Explorer crashed in the area of the former Fox Acute Center.

Three teens, who were in the Camry, were killed in the crash, including the 15-year-old unlicensed driver, Elkhan Saparbekov, a freshman at Neshaminy High School; Aziz Umidovich Amonov, 18, of Lower Southampton, a senior at Neshaminy; and Kozyrev Artem, 16, who played youth hockey for the Blazers in Philadelphia.
A fourth teen, a 14-year-old boy, continues to fight for his life at a Philadelphia hospital. The lone teen survivor of the crash remains in the Intensive Care Unit at a Philadelphia hospital, where he is receiving treatment following surgery on Saturday.
A "very preliminary" investigation based on the scene evidence and witness accounts suggests that the Toyota Camry occupied by the teenagers was traveling eastbound on Bristol Road, while the Ford Explorer was traveling westbound. As the Camry approached a downward crest in the narrow roadway, investigators said it appears the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to cross into the path (westbound) of the oncoming Explorer.
"I have been doing this job for 25 years, and I've seen many accidents, but this was the most tragic and one of the most serious accidents I've come across," said Chief Friel. "Just looking at those vehicles and the damage and the sheer loss of life, it was a horrible tragedy."
According to the chief, a peer counseling session will be held this week for police officers and first responders who were on the scene.
"It was a horrific crime scene and we're all human. We have to look out for each other," he said.
First responders on the scene Friday night included Warrington Township Police, Warrington Fire Company, Warrington Ambulance, Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, Warwick Police, Doylestown Township Police, Central Bucks Regional Police, Bucks County Detectives, Bucks County Accident Reconstruction Team, Chal-Brit Ambulance, and Central Bucks EMS.
