PENNSYLVANIA — A winter storm could bring 6 or more inches of snow to the Philadelphia region from Sunday through Tuesday. Forecasters with the National Weather Service are watching the storm, but "much can and will change" before Sunday, the agency said Friday morning.

The Weather Channel said Friday that the chances of a significant Northeast snowstorm "are increasing" but cautioned it was still too early to know where the storm will hit the hardest. There may be a sharp gradient between little snow and heavier snow along the northern edge of this storm, making snowfall predictions at this point difficult, The Weather Channel said.

"How much snow falls and where it falls depends on the exact track of the low near or off the East Coast and how strong it becomes," according to The Weather Channel.
