Local Dealership to Recognize Student Drawing Contest Winners

The Draw the Future Contest winners will be honored at an award ceremony on April 16 at the Thompson Toyota Showroom on Swamp Rd. in Doylestown.

The contest nearly doubled in popularity this year, as 1,185 entries were received from students, representing more than 40 area schools. From all the record-breaking entries, 21 students, from kindergarten through sixth grade, will be recognized and rewarded at the ceremony.

Each year, The Thompson Organization invites students to use their imagination and design their dream cars. Three winners from each grade are chosen and invited to celebrate their accomplishment and design, and claim their prize.

Prizes include gift cards and movie tickets with one Grand Prize winner getting his or her design used on a local billboard. According to organizers, the Draw the Future Contest, “helps children feel the joy and importance to having their creativity recognized and rewarded.”
