Man Charged After Gun Accidentally Discharges Inside Busy Bucks Co. Wawa
The man faces 10 counts of reckless endangerment following the incident at the convenience store in Warrington Township.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA ? Police have charged a 29-year-old man from Wayne with 10 counts of reckless endangerment after his gun accidentally discharged inside a busy Wawa convenience store.
Police were dispatched to the store on Easton Road at 1:50 p.m. on March 11 for the report of an accidental firearm discharge inside the store.
During an interview, Jordan Busby told police that he had a Glock 22, .40 caliber handgun inside his backpack at the time of the incident. He reported that the firearm discharged while inside the backpack, sending a single round into a nearby refrigerator unit, leaving a hole in the appliance.

The discharge also created a hole in the backpack, resulting in the firearm falling to the ground, police said, noting that the firearm was not stored in a holster.
At the time of the incident, police said there were numerous customers and employees inside the store. No injuries were reported as a result of the discharge, police said.

During a subsequent examination of the firearm, police noted that the trigger had been altered from its original manufacturer?s condition.
On July 28, Busby waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He is free on $25,000 bail while awaiting court action.
