Mercantile at Doylestown Slated For Former Bon-Ton Spot
The Mercantile at Doylestown, which will be "unlike anything around the area," is expected to be open in time for the holidays.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A shopping destination featuring a variety of individual vendors is planned at the Doylestown Shopping Center, in the space previously occupied by Bon-Ton and briefly by Fox & Holly.
Brooke Henningsen of Arrow Real Estate Services, which manages the shopping center, said the Mercantile at Doylestown is expected to be open in November in time for the holiday shopping season.
Henningsen expects a "huge variety" of vendors in the 25,000-square -feet space, including artists, crafters, start up entrepreneurs, and existing shops looking for additional exposure.

"This is going to be a Mecca of unique shopping experiences unlike anything around the area. We have an opportunity here to create something that will be a fun shopping destination filled with different finds that are bound to speak to everyone on some level or another," Henningsen told Patch.
She said outdoor activities, such as food trucks, car shows, and community events, will compliment the shopping atmosphere.

So far, the response to the project has been "overwhelmingly positive," Henningsen said.
"I’m getting inquiries from all over the country from artists and vendors interested in this opportunity to broaden their outreach. The possibilities of bringing visibility to entrepreneurs that are currently feeling invisible and in need of help is wonderful. We are so incredibly excited to be involved in an inspiring project of this magnitude."
The space was formerly occupied by Bon-Ton, which closed in 2018. Fox & Holly took it over, but decided not to reopen following the coronavirus shutdowns.
