Overnight Snow Totals; 2 More Chances For Snow In Eastern PA

Here are snowfall totals from the overnight storm. Plus, there are two more chances for snow in the forecast.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — An overnight storm dropped as much as 4 inches of snow on the Philadelphia suburbs. But if you're hoping this is the end of the winter weather, you're out of luck.

There is more snow in the forecast for the weekend, as well as early next week.

The overnight snow added a few inches to the already heaping piles in suburban Philadelphia.

The highest local totals were recorded in Chester County, where 4 inches fell near Lincoln University. Parts of Philadelphia got 3.5 inches and nearly 3.5 inches fell in Norristown.

There is a chance we'll get even more snow and ice over the weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for another system expected Saturday into Sunday.

There is a 50 percent chance of more snow Saturday, but current accumulation amounts are not significant. The Weather Channel predicts the Philadelphia region could get 1 to 3 more inches.

The weekend event "is not going to be a blockbuster snowstorm," forecasters with The Weather Channel said. However, the ice could make travel tricky. Here's more on that weekend storm.

Meanwhile, forecasters are eyeing another system early next week. Current estimates predict a Tuesday storm could bring 3 to 5 inches to the region.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. North wind around 5 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight.

Saturday: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Saturday Night: Snow likely before 9 p.m., then snow and sleet likely between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., then sleet likely after 10 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 23. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 30.

Monday Night: A chance of snow after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Tuesday: Rain and snow likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Tuesday Night: Rain and snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 36.
