DOYLESTOWN, PA—When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Kathi Sexton who nominated Ella Sims of Doylestown. Ella is only 14 years old but has made it her mission to help the less fortunate.

If other, job: Ella collects new and gently used clothing for teenage girls "in need" living in Bucks County and creates back to school clothing bags for them. The bags include clothes, shoes, accessories, and personal hygiene items.

Relationship to nominee: Neighbor and friend

Reason for recognition: I feel that Ella should be honored because she is a 14 year old girl who recognizes a "hidden" need in our community and works very hard to correct it. She is an amazing young lady!One thing to know: Ella has a heart of gold and works very hard to help others in this difficult time.
