Police Quell Verbal Dispute Over Child Custody In Plumstead

Police also investigated a scam involving a denied bank transaction and a fence damaged by a vehicle on Alder Drive.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA ? The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between March 21 and March 23:

March 21

  • Police are looking into an incident of fraud after a township resident received notification from their bank about a denied transaction. After contacting the bank, it was confirmed that no money was lost. The officer provided the complainant with a Victim's Rights packet and guided them on the next steps to take.

  • Officers responded to a report of property damage on Alder Drive after a fence was damaged, resulting in an estimated $500 in repairs. Although surveillance footage was reviewed, the vehicle responsible for the damage could not be identified.
  • A complainant reported finding empty alcohol containers on their property on Valley Park Road. The officers were informed that the property owner has security cameras and will provide footage to aid in an investigation. The incident is under investigation.

March 23

  • Officers responded to a verbal domestic dispute on Louise Saint Claire Drive involving a custody argument between two individuals. After speaking with both parties separately, they decided not to pursue the matter further. The officers cleared the scene without incident.
