The coronavirus pandemic has made things difficult, but local farms are still making it happen, offering corn mazes, hayrides and pumpkin picking for people who wear masks and stay socially distanced.

HELLERICK'S FAMILY FARM
What: The Fall Festival features a variety of activities, including pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes and more. Safety precautions are in place, including social distancing and masks.

EASTBURN PUMPKIN PATCH
What: Small, family-owned pumpkin patch offering a variety of pumpkins and gourds.
Where: 1085 Durham Rd, Pineville
When: Opening day for pumpkin season is Sept. 26

FROEHLICH'S FARM
What: Froehlich's Farm hosts a Fall Festival featuring a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, a five-acre corn maze, a hay maze, and more. Safety precautions will be in place, including a reservations-only policy. You can view the fall festival protocols here. If you want to just visit the pumpkin patch, you can do that on Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m. No admission fee for the pumpkin patch only, and reservations not needed.

When: Weekends from Sept. 26 to Oct. 31.
